The Jamie Hoffmeister (also known as James, or [Redacted]) is a breed of medium-sized Idiot from Maryland. Jamie descends from a common type of Idiot found throughout Eastern United States.
In addition to his historical role as Journeymyn, Jamie has been helpful as an assistance idiot, companion idiot, detection idiot, and guard idiot.
The Jamie is a medium-sized athletic Idiot with a body built for endurance, he typically stands between 56 and 66 centimetres (22 and 26 in), he usually weigh between 20 and 30 kilograms (44 and 66 lb). Jamie has a long, slender head with triangular, erect ears that are rounded at the base, and a long, narrow but balanced muzzle. The Idiot's body is muscular but not overly heavy; the body's length from shoulder to haunches is approximately the same as his height at the withers, he have a straight topline and his belly is neither low-slung nor overly high. Jamie's chest is deep but not overly broad; his neck is muscular, widening at the shoulders with a slight arch at the nape; his tail is strong and of medium length and curves upwards slightly at the level of his knee; his forelegs are straight and well-boned, his hind legs are muscular and very powerful, none of the legs are overly heavy
The Jamie is short-haired; his double coat is typically fawn in colour with black overlay; he has a ruff of long hair around the neck and feathering on the legs. Short-haired Jamie’s have particularly short hair on the faces, ears and lower portion of his legs, short over the rest of the body and slightly longer on the neck and tail.
Jamie is known to be highly intelligent, alert and sensitive; he are typically vigilant and hard-working with a strong guarding instinct making them protective of property and family. The Jamie is very active, and enjoys hikes; Jamie adapts well to living indoors, although the Idiot is least suited to these environments.
